Stay strong, Miss Tsunemori. Anyone who is watching us is bound to be distracted as well. [As he takes his seat, he adjusts his glasses and keeps himself facing the direction of one sparkling host. He honestly doubts that this will fully distract any CERES watching them, but he figures that he might as well have tried out his most ridiculous plan.]
And we can cover our business fairly quickly.
no subject
Right, [ and one of the hosts is nice enough to hold out a seat for her. thank you, kind gentleman. akane nods at the host and thanks them before focusing her attention to jade. ]
So, did you find anything...? Is that why you wanted to talk?
no subject
I'm afraid that I have nothing new to share. Rather, this meeting is for the opposite. I want to know if you've managed to learn anything else since we last met.
no subject
[ rude, jade. using her like this. but, okay. she presses a button on her wristcom to show a scanned piece of paper that reads of what happened to Julius Vincere, Elias Sergej and Lucius Octavii. This information is coming, signed by Bellona Recreare. she moves her wrist to the side so jade can read the note properly. ]
That's all it says.
no subject
Again with the wristcom thing... He takes a quick glance to take in the contents; so it is as he expected. He taps at his chin curiously.]
My, my. Now that tells us quite a bit more. Thank you, Miss Tsunemori.
no subject
[ she looks at the clue again, then back at jade. ]
I wonder how many of these papers there are out there.
no subject
[He taps at his glasses.]
At the same time, given the contents of your other note, I am not sure if we will find much of value from any other notes at the time being. It seems to be indicating that we'll receive more information at a later date. But we cannot overlook any clues we may find.

[ to the ceo, she means. talk her out of this stupid idea, pls. ]

no subject
[ she's done it to her boss before so.. ]
no subject
We may have little to no reason to trust Miss Recreare, but we don't know her reasoning for keeping these matters secret. Forcing out the truth too soon could compromise any number of matters, not least of all being our wellbeing.
no subject
[ that brings a good point, but akane's persistence knows no bounds most of the time. maybe she will confront the ceo. if she gets nothing out of it, then that's fine with her. at least she's made her intentions known. ]
Alright, then I'll try to control myself.
no subject
[He says that seriously, and he pushes up at his glasses.]
I would have paid the top host to charm you.
no subject
Please don't.
[ seriously, don't. that would be too embarrassing. a policewoman at a host club is awful enough. ]
no subject
Then please do be careful with your decisions.
no subject
I've always been, even back at home. Please don't worry about me, Jade.
no subject
He smirks coyly.]
Oh? I'm not the type to worry. I prefer to bemoan the inevitability of human failure.
no subject
Ah. . . [ akane's been trying to look cheerful since she got here, but that makes her smile falter, and she blinks a couple of times. ] That's a pretty negative outlook in life.
no subject
no subject
[ akane just laughs amiably. ]
At least, where I'm from... the more negative thoughts you have, the more cloudy your hue gets. And you could become a latent criminal.
no subject
[He speaks airily and gives a light shrug.]
Things work quite a bit differently in my world. The more blindly positive thoughts that you tend to have, the higher the chances are of you acting like an idiot.
no subject
[ YOU DEMENTED FREAK. ]
What kind of world do you live in that you think of optimists in that way?
no subject
It's a very pleasant world known as Auldrant. Home to fonons and a populace that's used to relying on a system of prophecies known as The Score. So you see, it's proven to be quite the breeding ground for foolishness.
no subject
[ no, sibyl already means prophet. that sounds redundant. she shakes her head, as she tries to explain. ]
It's Sibyl who decides our aptitude, and can tell us what our hues are. It really is a bad sign if your hue is cloudy, or if it's dark. . . as I've said, you'd be possibly considered a latent criminal if it were cloudy.
But there are so many holes in the Sibyl System... It's imperfect. And from what I'm hearing from you, I take it that you don't fully believe in the Score, too.
[ ?!?!?!?! something common with jade? what is this madness. ]
no subject
He pushes up at his glasses, going on with less of a sarcastic air.]
The Score has been a decrepit system and a threat to the free will of humanity. I don't quite like it. Like your friend Sibyl, it can be far too judgmental. I don't think that I would be quite fond of either of them.
[He presses some fingers to his forehead.]
Luckily, my world has slowly been working through a process of actively detaching ourselves from The Score. I'd like to consider it to be a chance for humanity to approve in the area of significant independent thoughts, but I do worry about making my hue too sunny.
