[ Crazy night at the library, huh? After finally freeing themselves from that place, Kogami had dropped Akane off at her apartment. He lingered around until she got in her own clothes and gave him his shirt back, then left her to rest while he spent the whole night researching and cross-referencing these symptoms with any other accounts. It's fine, he doesn't sleep anyway.

When dawn finally breaks, he's buzzing at her door again, this time carrying hot cups of coffee and a bag of burgers from McCeres' breakfast menu. Hopefully she was back to herself, but if not, at least they got breakfast handled. He'll eat those things himself if she doesn't want them!! ]

[ akane was indeed back to normal, and feeling the side effects intended from the event: total humiliation. the moment she had woken up, her cheeks were so red as everything dawned on her.

at the sound of the doorbell, she immediately puts some clothes on and answers the door. and when she sees kogami, she immediately presses the button to slide the door shut. and from behind the door, she exclaims: ]

[ Previously on Cerealia PD... Kogami and Tsunemori crack another case! A murdered jewel shop keeper and nothing of value stolen? A revenge killing? No, it turns out it was just a malfunctioning cleaning droid, which the shopping centre director tried to cover up because their droids only clean, not kill!

Letting their own task force droids wrap up what remains of the case, Kogami meets his partner in crime fighting outside of the shopping district, just near their police vehicle. He offers her a cigarette, but doesn't say anything yet, instead he appears to be trying to solve another puzzle... the curious case of Akane Tsunemori. ]

[ earth to kogami, hello, anybody in there? akane waves a hand in front of her partner's face, hoping to get his attention.

oh, and she does take the cigarette. can't live without it, now. ]

[You know what's great about having powers? Having powers. You know what's not great about having powers? Depending on them for literally everything because that's how you were made, how you can even function, and then having said powers suddenly go haywire thanks to ghosts.

Which is how Alcor finds himself teleported into Akane's apartment in cube form, lying on one of his cube faces, next to the living room coffee table (thankfully not on top of it). Fortunately(?), he can still sense what and who's in the apartment, and calls out.]

[ alcor may have caught akane throwing up (thanks to her pure heart), so she might be making some loud weird noises while in the bathroom. but thankfully, that doesn't last for long and she leaves the bathroom, only to find the cube... thing that sounds like makishima??? wow... she already hallucinates about him enough, he does not have to come here in cube form.

wait. cubes. what? what is going on? this is definitely not makishima. . . ]
