[ AKANE WILL JUST DO VOICE SORRY. she may or may not be just wearing a towel right now, anyway. ]

Well enough. It was dangerous, of course, but I made it one piece.

As well as well can be. Not an experience I'd care to repeat, though. The jungles on this world are interesting, but the forest I went to was quite dull.

We climbed snowy mountains and sought refuge at an abandoned laboratory.

Any dangers? Nobody you know was hurt, yes?

Thankfully, there was no one who was hurt.

[ she nods to herself. ]

There were wild griffons, however. Caeli said they were ones hers, however, it seems that CERES had put implants on them to make them feral.

Griffons you say? Noble beasts.

[Herc frowns.]

Though that makes little sense. Why make wild beasts more wild? I fail to see the purpose...

I just imagine that those aligned with Caeli weren't supposed to be attacked prior to CERES' intervention.

They did, as well as some others. But we were mostly able to fend for ourselves and help the others.

[ there's a knock at hercules' door in about half an hour, then. ]

[He effects a sweeping bow, gesturing like a butler. and contrary to what she might expect? His apartment is immaculately clean. He's a strange man, but he does not enjoy clutter. OR believe in owning many possessions. Just a table, some chairs, and a big couch. A tidy bachelor pad.]

[ she looks up at the absolutely giant guy and smiles before bowing her head. ]

It's nice to see you again.

[ and she enters when she's gestured to come inside. she wonders if she should take off her shoes... so she pauses awkwardly in her stride after getting past the door. ]

[His sandals are beside the door though, and his feet are bare. And he does notice, and says in Japanese:]

If it's shoes you're worried about, that's your choice. I'm not concerned with it, but if it makes you more comfortable feel free.

[condoner]

[ she's obviously taken off guard by the sudden Japanese. she removes her shoes, revealing her bare feet, and she steps further into the apartment. ]

I wouldn't want to make your apartment dirty. [ she looks around, gesturing at the simplicity of it all. ] It's so... clean.

[The smile lines of Hercules's face crinkle cheerfully, and he rumbles a laugh, before pulling out a chair for her.]

Well, contrary to what some might tell you, I'm not a barbarian. I am, after all, the one famous for cleaning the Augean stables. Surely you didn't think I lived in squalor.

[moving around the kitchen, he gets down a plate for her and pours juice too.]

I do appreciate your concern for my floor though. I'd forgotten how important that was to Japanese folk.

[ you forget that she's a detective. she can tell what you're like just by looking at you. of course, her profiling skills still need some toning. it isn't perfect yet. ]

I often find that I am mistaken for a messy individual. I may be a brawler and oaf, but you are correct in that I keep my life as simple as possible.
